When a Japanese purchases or leases a new car the manufacturer (Toyota or Nissan) will by the vehicle back from the owner and sell or lease him a new vehicle. They then export the totally reconditioned and fully warrantied vehicle to places like Thailand, India, or Sri Lanka. These countries are all right-hand drive countries.
